How to Get Here
By Air
The nearest airport is Luena Airport (LUO), capital of Moxico-Leste. From Luena, Cazombo is approximately 400 km by road. Regular flights connect Luanda to Luena.
By Road
From Luena, follow the national road eastward to Cazombo. A 4x4 vehicle is recommended, especially during the rainy season (October to April).
Public Transport
Buses and passenger vans operate between Luena and Cazombo. Check schedules at Luena bus station.
Zambia Border
Cazombo has a border post with Zambia (Lumangwe). Check visa requirements and documentation before traveling.
Best Times to Visit
Dry Season (May — September)
Dry climate and mild temperatures (20–28°C). Roads in better condition, ideal for safaris, hiking and outdoor activities.
Rainy Season (October — April)
Green landscapes and active waterfalls. Higher temperatures (25–32°C). Some roads may be difficult — prefer 4x4.
